Blush and Gold Bedroom
Since revamping the bedroom last September, I have been itching to make a few changes. If you’ve been reading my blog for even the shortest period of time, then you know I love redesigning and redecorating my apartment often. I seriously can’t wait for the day that we have an entire house to decorate! Until then, I will continue to switch up our apartment, over and over. I firmly believe that you can completely update a space without having to make any major changes, or spend a ton of money. What’s amazing about this latest bedroom makeover is that I didn’t change or add any new furniture. Every single piece of furniture in the room has remained the same. Using decor, lighting, and accessories, I was able to transform our bedroom into a very light and airy space that I just can’t get enough of!
The biggest change in the space would have to be the installation of this gorgeous new, modern fan from Hunter Fan Company. I still can’t believe how much the fan has completely transformed the room. It gives the room a luxe, modern feel that our old ceiling fan was seriously lacking. I wish I could show you a before and after photo, but our old fan was so embarrassing that I would avoid featuring it in any photos. The new fan we installed is the Hunter Fan Company Hepburn in Modern Brass. It is seriously stunning, and I consider it the “centerpiece” of our bedroom now. I didn’t know brass ceiling fans existed, so you could imagine my excitement when I learned that Hunter Fan Company had designed the fan of my dreams. I also adore the round globe light; it is so chic! We’re actually installing fans from both Hunter Fan Company and Casablanca Fan Company throughout the other rooms of our apartment; I can’t wait to show you the spaces once they’re complete.

As I said earlier, for this bedroom makeover, I focused on making small, yet noticeable changes in the space. One change that made a world of a difference was swapping the mirrors. The mirror that was previously over my vanity, is now over the dresser, and vice versa. Since I spend more time at my vanity, it made more sense to have the larger mirror where I do my hair and make-up everyday. By changing the mirror, the vanity now has a more high-end look to it, which I love.
The last change that helped transform the room is the bedding. While I loved our old duvet cover from Anthropologie, I felt that the mixture of white and cream throughout the space clashed a bit. I decided to switch back to this white Ted Baker quilt I received from Bed, Bath, and Beyond awhile back. I’ve always loved hotel bedding, so that was ultimately the inspiration when choosing the sheets and pillows. I can’t get over how much having a bolster pillow completes the bedding. When I spotted this printed bolster cover, I knew it would be perfect. The room is pretty neutral (yes, I consider pink a neutral), so I love how the bolster pillow adds a fun pop of print, while still fitting the aesthetic of the space.

What do you think of the updates? I am seriously so happy with how everything turned out. I think it’s my favorite bedroom makeover to date.
Thank you to Hunter Fan Company for gifting TeresaCaruso.com the fan featured in this space.
