Our Home Office: Neutral Decor
Earlier this year we finally finished decorating our home office and I’m in love! It’s right off the main living area and has the prettiest french doors, so I knew we had to make it special. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that we really leaned into neutrals when designing the space. There is something about a neutral color palette that I find comforting and calming. Since I tend to shy away from color when decorating, I always make sure to mix in different textures to make the design more dimensional. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and I’m excited to share how it all came together. Keep reading for a full look at our home office!
The room itself is on the smaller side, so we kept it pretty simple in terms of furniture. There are only three pieces of furniture in the entire space: a desk, desk chair, and storage cabinet. I was really excited when I discovered this desk, and knew it would be perfect. It may look like an ordinary desk, but it has a hidden rotating section that you can swivel out when you need extra space. This works especially great whenever my husband and I need to work on something together. It’s always really important to me that a space is equal parts pretty and functional. That’s why I made sure to stock the desk with office accessories that are both!
The cabinet in the space was definitely a splurge, but it is a showstopper! I kept putting it in and out of my cart for months and finally just went for it when it went on sale. The reeded glass stole my heart and the quality is amazing. Inside the cabinet, I used a variety of organizers from Amazon to store our office supplies.
I hope you enjoyed the tour of our home office and found some inspiration you can bring into your own! For more home office finds, be sure to check out my Amazon round-up here.
