This past Christmas Matt surprised me with the sweetest gift —a staycation at Fouquet’s New York to go along with tickets to the Gracie Abrams concert. I’ve really started valuing experiences over physical gifts in my old age of 33. The hotel is super chic and has this cozy, Parisian vibe. From the moment we checked in, everything felt elevated but still warm and welcoming. We spent the afternoon relaxing, soaking in the room (and the marble bathroom, which was so dreamy), before heading out for a day of exploring. Even though I was born and raised in New York, there are still so many parts of the city I haven’t explored, so it was really fun to play tourist for the weekend.

The whole trip felt really special. Matt planned every detail and it made the experience that much more thoughtful. On our first night, we grabbed dinner at the hotel, and it was incredible. If you ever get a chance to dine there, you HAVE to get the Caviar Dip. It was INCREDIBLE. Also, I promise I’m not usually this bougie but it was a special occasion.

As you can see from the photos, every detail of the hotel room was just perfection, down to the ‘do not disturb’ sign to put on the door. If you’re ever looking for a little NYC staycation spot that feels romantic and low-key luxurious, or you’re traveling to the area, I definitely recommend checking out Fouquet’s.
