Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Guide

Mark your calendars, Nordstrom officially announced the dates of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021. It opens to the public on July 28th with early access for cardholders beginning as early as July 12th, depending on your status.  There are two major sales I look forward to each year, Amazon Prime Day and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. During Amazon Prime Day I tend to shop for fashion basics, electronics, everyday necessities, and tech. With the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I tend to shop for more splurge worthy pieces and wardrobe classics I can use for seasons to come. Similar to years past, I plan to share the best Nordstrom Anniversary deals as they become available, and be a resource for you as you shop. For those of you may not know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an annual shopping event Nordstrom hosts each year. Traditionally, retailers markdown items from past seasons during sales, but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale features brand new in-season items. Once the sale ends, all of the merchandise goes back to its original full-price. Something else that makes the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale quite unique is that it lasts for almost a month, and you can preview most of the items before the sale begins. It really gives you the opportunity to be intentional and plan your purchases.

While the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public on July 28th, Nordstrom cardholders can actually shop the sale early. You can sign-up for the credit card here to gain early access, but in full transparency I personally don’t think it’s wise to open a new credit card for the sake of a sale. If you regularly shop at Nordstrom and think the benefits are worth it for your lifestyle and financial health, absolutely! But don’t think you need it. I know that sounds a little wild coming from a blogger, but I don’t think any sale is worth potentially putting yourself in debt.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an annual shopping event where Nordstrom marks down all of their brand new fall merchandise. Once the sale is over, all of the products go back to their original price.

When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public on July 28th. All Nordstrom card holders can access the sale early on July 16th. However, those with Icon and Ambassador status can begin shopping even earlier. Icon early access begins July 12th and Ambassador early access begins July 14th.

How can I prepare for the sale?

A preview of the sale is scheduled to be released on July 6th, so I would definitely take a look and start creating a shopping list. Popular items do have a tendency to sell out, so try to grab those items first once you’re able to shop the sale.

Should I shop in-store or online?

I highly recommend shopping online or doing in-store pickup. The stores tend to be quite crowded and I feel like the online selection is always best. I usually do a combination! I do an in-store pickup for the items my nearest Nordstrom has in-stock and the rest I have shipped to my home.
