LG StanbyME Review: Why I’m Obsessed

Today we’re going to dive into why I’m absolutely obsessed with the LG StanbyME. The moment I laid my eyes on it, I knew it was a gadget that I needed in my life. Movies and TV shows are a main source of entertainment for me, so if I’m home, 9 times out of 10 I’m watching something. The LG StanbyME is the perfect combination of function and design. If you’re someone who uses smart gadgets in your daily life, you’re going to love it just as much as I do.

Why I’m obsessed with the LG StanbyME

The LG StanbyME is the definition of convenience. It has tons of great features! The simplest way to describe it is a smart TV on wheels. It features a touchscreen monitor on a swivel base you can glide all across your home. Think of it as a hybrid between a television and a tablet. The LG StanbyME has a built-in battery that lets you watch tv or work from anywhere in your home. The base of it actually has five wheels built-in, which allows it to roll around smoothly, so you can truly transfer it from room to room with ease.

In terms of what you can do on the LG StanbyME itself, it features an app store where you can install all of your go-to streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and more. You can also mirror content from your phone, tablet, or laptop. While I mainly use it for streaming, another fun way to use it is in the kitchen. The LG StanbyME features a web browser, so if you’re cooking and need to refer to a recipe, you can have it on display next to you.

The design of the LG StanbyME

The LG StanbyME is incredibly sleek and stylish, and the neutral palette allows it to seamlessly blend into your home’s decor. The back of it is a beautiful fabric that definitely gives it a cozy yet luxurious feel. You can also adjust it in many different ways which allows it to work for all of the different spaces of your home. You can rotate, swivel, and tilt it! The display itself is great quality too!

When my grandma saw mine last year, her eyes lit up. We never saw her so enthusiastic about a gadget, so we bought her one for Mother’s Day. It’s been a few months since we gifted it to her, and now my grandparents can’t live without it. They keep it at the foot of their bed and watch all of their favorite shows before going to sleep. They’re usually not too fond of trying to figure out new devices, but it was love at first sight. And they’ve had no issue navigating it so that’s definitely a testament to how easy it is to use. 

Price of the LG StanbyME

The LG StanbyME retails for around $950-999. Given all of its features, and how often we use it, we find it to be absolutely worth the price. 

Whether you’re tight on space, have a no TV in the bedroom rule that you want to work around, or simply want to see what it’s like to watch TV in your bathroom, then I highly recommend giving the LG StanbyME a try. The only “con” I can think of is to prepare to have your screen time skyrocket!
