Everyday Effortless Braided Waves

I love experimenting with new hairstyles, but I also don’t have the patience to try anything too intricate or complicated. My favorite hairstyles are ones that look like I tried, without trying too hard. I want to look put-together, but I also want it to look effortless. Does that make sense? Today I’m sharing my favorite hairstyle that does just that. It’s a braided, wavy look that’s great for a last-minute night out. It’s also perfect for festivals or concerts. Best part? It’s super easy to achieve!

The great thing about this braided hairstyle is that it works for clean hair or second day hair (or third day hair, let’s be honest). Lately I have been washing my hair with the TRESemmé® Thick & Full Shampoo and Suave® Keratin Smoothing Conditioner. When I’m in between shampoos, I rely on the Dove Go Fresh Coconut Dry Shampoo. It is incredible! It absorbs any excess oil and it smells absolutely amazing. I especially love using dry shampoo for this look because it adds to the textured, effortless look. Now onto the tutorial:

1. Start with clean hair or apply the Dove Go Fresh Coconut Dry Shampoo to absorb any excess oil.

2. Use a curling wand to create waves throughout your hair. Since this look is meant to look effortless, don’t hold the curl for too long. Sometimes I don’t even curl the ends of my hair to add to the effortless look.
3. Once you’ve curled all of your hair to create the waves, it’s time to braid. I like to keep a piece of hair out on both sides to frame my face. Taking about a two inch section of hair on both sides, start braiding away from your face. Use bobby pins to secure both braids.
