If weekly Sephora visits are a typical occurrence for you, then you definitely need some sort of make-up organizational strategy. I do realize that my make-up collection isn’t your average, but tons of women, even those who don’t work with make-up for a living, search the internet for make-up organization tips and tricks daily. Yes, you can stuff your products in a bunch of make-up pouches, but that can get really messy and unorganized very quickly. Your make-up collection should be accessible, organized, and it can’t hurt to have it double as decor. Girl, you’ve spent quite a few bucks on your collection, it deserves to be on display.

The first step to organizing your collection is deciding where you’d like to keep it. Personally, I have a console table in my bedroom perfect for displaying my collection. It’s typically the spot where I get ready, so it makes the most sense to store it there. Keep your make-up collection in a place that makes the most sense for your daily life. Once you’ve found a place to display your make-up collection, it’s time to figure out what you’re going to store your collection in.

After years of trial and error, I found the GLAMboxes GLAMluxe Make-Up Box to be the ultimate storage tool for my collection. I’ve tried dozens of different organizers, from a million different brands, but my GLAMluxe Make-Up Box has proven to be the best there is. Not only does it fit a ton of make-up, but it’s suitable for make-up of all different sizes. A few acrylic drawers I had in the past were too short to fit a majority of my products. Another plus about this particular beauty box is the strength and quality. Acrylic can be very delicate, but I swear the GLAMboxes have industrial strength. I’ve had it for months and it still looks brand new.

Instead of putting my lipsticks in the GLAMbox, I like using lipstick risers to keep them organized and easily accessible for when I want to quickly grab one as I’m running out of the apartment. I also like to keep my other most used products, like primer and foundation, on top of the organizer since I reach for them the most.

When selecting my GLAMbox, I opted for the partial lid version, to allow me to maximize my storage space. A great organizational tip, whether you own an acrylic organizer or not, is to reuse old candle jars as storage. I use empty candle jars for storing make-up brushes, mascara, rollerball perfumes, and other beauty tools. You can also use pretty cups or mugs, like this marble one I found for under $10 at H&M. Make-up organization can be fun, and make your vanity or bedroom look even more beautiful.
If you’re someone who prefers to keep their make-up “behind-the-scenes”, you can use pretty jars and canisters to store your favorite products. I use the mermaid box above, that my mom found for less than $7 at Ross, to keep all of my favorite mini products. Marshalls usually has a great selection as well.
I like to keep all of my mini/travel sized beauty products in one spot. It makes packing for overnight trips or vacations much simpler. I literally check the Sephora VIB site daily to see what the current minis are! I’m obsessed.

Inside of my GLAMbox, I keep like-products together. I try to keep brands together as best as I can, as well. The drawers become deeper from top to bottom, so I keep lipgloss and liquid lipsticks in the top drawer, single eyeshadows and blushes in the second, face products in the third, and larger palettes in the bottom drawer. The beauty of the GLAMbox is the ability to customize and store your make-up in whatever way makes you happiest!
